Ingredients:

  • 1kg chicken wings or drumettes (halal)
  • 1 cup flour
  • 1/2 cup cornstarch
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 1 teaspoon black pepper
  • Oil for frying

Sauce Ingredients:

  • 1/4 cup gochujang
  • 1/4 cup ketchup
  • 1/4 cup honey
  • 2 tablespoons soy sauce
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced

Instructions:

  1. Mix flour, cornstarch, salt, and pepper in a bowl.
  2. Dredge the chicken pieces in the flour mixture.
  3. Heat oil in a deep fryer or large pot to 350°F (175°C). Fry chicken in batches until golden brown and crispy, about 10-15 minutes. Drain on paper towels.
  4. In a saucepan, mix gochujang, ketchup, honey, soy sauce, and garlic. Cook over medium heat until the sauce thickens.
  5. Toss the fried chicken in the sauce until fully coated.
